Phil’s Adventures in Elderburbia is written by Philip B. Stafford, Ph.D., Director of the Center on Aging and Community, Indiana Institute on Disability and Community, at Indiana University in Bloomington, IN, USA. Phil is a cultural anthropologist, involved with aging services, research and education for nearly 35 years. For the last ten years Phil has been a leader in the “elder-friendly communities” movement, which shifts the focus on aging away from the individual “needs” of elders to the community context in which the aging experience is embedded. This blog serves as a circuit into Phil’s current state of thinking. It’s grounded, so you won’t get shocked. Reader comments are not just encouraged, they are essential!!
Web site for Aging (State of Indiana) links do not work. Can’t access information regarding Area 7.
Can it be fixed??
Yes, Debra. We apologize. We are waiting for the “content management system” to be in place before we can load data on the left navigation bar. You can access Area 7 data on the news item associated with August 25. Thanks for inquiring!
